A solar farm has opened in Spain which consists of over 120,000 solar panels on 247 acres of land. Unfortunately a large amount of trees were torn down to get this farm up and running, although local agencies say that the highest environmental criteria were used to construct the solar farm.
Expected to have a peak capacity of 20 megawatts, it should power up to 20,000 homes. That would make it the largest solar farm to date. The farm is expected to generate $28 million per year and reduce carbon dioxide levels by about 42,000 tons a year.
