Give the Gift of Charity

What can you give the person who has absolutely everything?  We’ve done a number of  posts over the last few weeks about green gifts for the holidays; but here’s another option.  Instead of buying an item what about a gift of charity? According to the JustGive.org website, we’re “dedicated to creating comprehensive tools and services to make charitable giving a part of everyday life, JustGive is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase charitable giving by connecting people with the charities and causes they care most about.”

Here are three ways to give:

1.       The GiveNow Card - This is a customized charity gift card. Gift cards are a unique, personal and convenient way to honor any person or occasion. The GiveNow Card can be redeemed for any number of nearly 1.5 million charities in the JustGive.org database.

2.      The Gift Collection Card - Select a Gift Collection featuring four charities that support a specific cause. Is your aunt passionate about environmental causes, while your dad leans toward hunger issues? Does your officemate love children? A Gift Collection is a perfect way to introduce them to more charities that work in the areas they care about most.

3.      The Charity Register - Instead of receiving gifts, what about a Charity Register? Create a registry for almost any gift-giving occasion: an anniversary, birthday, new baby, the holidays, in memoriam - and more.
