BioPro 150 Biodiesel Processor

It may not look pretty but the BioPro 150 automated biodiesel processor  can make 40 US Gal of Biodiesel for an end cost of $1.25USD per US Gal. The BioPro 150 Biodiesel Processor is manufactured by Springboard Biodiesel who claims this processor requires very little user interaction. The processor is a compact stainless steel industrial-grade processor that converts organic oils into an alternative fuel - biodiesel - through acid/base catalyzed chemical reactions. The oil is altered to allow it to run efficiently in an unmodified diesel engine. Simply fill the machine with filtered, dewatered vegetable oil or tallow, add methanol (8 gallons), lye and a catalyst, then walk away. Waste water is manually drained after each wash cycle. The rest of the process is handled automatically. The BioPro 150, and Springboard’s other processors: the BioPro 190, and BioPro 380 are used by consumers, co-ops, small businesses and farmers to produce ASTM D6751 quality biodiesel in small amounts ranging from 40 gallons to 100 gallons. Again at a cost of approximately $1.25 per gallon. There are numerous reasons for using biodiesel. Unlike other alternative fuels for diesel engines which require adjustments and modifications in the fuel injection system, installing additional filters or installing an additional fuel tank, biodiesel will work in the majority of diesel engines with no modifications.  It is important to mention that when compared to petrodiesel, biodiesel has a drop in power of around 9%, which most drivers did not even notice. Biodiesel exhaust emission is significantly less polluting. According to studies, there are several parameters like hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide that are reduced when using biodiesel for running diesel engines. Biodiesel supports the agriculture industry since the main ingredient for preparing biodiesel is vegetables oil or animal fat. The growing demand for biodiesel resources provides the agriculture industry in general and the farmers in particular with another potential market. Biodiesel lessens the world’s dependency on crude oil and it has a lubricity rate compared to petro diesel fuel. This helps a diesel engine to work in a smoother manner and reduces the physical deterioration of the engine. Below are some specs for the BioPro 150 Biodiesel Processor which sells for about $6500 USD Specs:

  1. I like how many companies are offering your own biofuel making kits, but when will it go mainstream and replace regular gas diesel? I mean, just get the used oil from McDonalds and you’ll never run out.

  2. I don’t think it looks unattractive (but I’m biased), and if you look on the manufacturer’s website, it currently sells for $5995.00.

  3. Is there anyone on the site that has actually done this?

  4. Check http://www.springboardbiodiesel.com - their are about 600 in the field.

  5. My name is Piter Jankovich. oOnly want to tell, that your blog is really cool
And want to ask you: is this blog your hobby?
P.S. Sorry for my bad english
