Researchers from the Southern Taiwan University of Technology have found an innovative way of increasing the opportunity of those looking to save energy by creating the first solar powered wheelchair.

Sold at even a cheaper price than current electrical and manual models, the solar powered wheelchair reduces the amount of electronic waste produced. It doesn’t stop there, benefits also include a longer lifespan of the wheelchair than current standard chairs due to the recharging method.

The wheelchair is on it way to becoming mass produced but with no exact price target just yet but will be released first in Taiwan prior to being released overseas.
