Castalia, NC - eLogHomes, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of log home packages and materials based in North Carolina, promoted their Build America discount program at a film shoot recently in eastern North Carolina. The shoot showcased their model ‘The Clearwater” as a highly unique, sustainable, self-sufficient and ‘off-the-grid’ log home, complete with observatory, solar panel array and water cistern, owned by retired naval officer Carther Jorgensen in Castalia, NC (Nash County). A full virtual tour of this unique home is available on eLogHome’s Web site and YouTube Channel.
“This is a great American company that not only wants to supply the best quality logs at the best prices, but a company that recognizes the contributions of American Servicemen and Women” said Jorgensen, who also has plans for an organic garden and possible vineyard in the future. Jorgensen chose eLogHomes as his supplier because of the Build America discount program for military personnel. He specifically chose Nash County because of the beautiful, rural area and he teaches at nearby Nash County Central High School. He is also involved with area ROTC programs and the Boy Scouts.
Build America is a special discount program through eLogHomes available to employees and members of organizations that serve America. It offers a 5% across the board discount on the purchase of any log home and a 1% donation back to the home buyer’s membership organization. Examples include the Muscular Dystrophy Association, MADD of NC, ROTC, Boy Scouts of America, Lockheed Martin and many other companies and organizations that serve America. As an example, there are more than 21 million living military veterans who also may quality for Build America.
“We want to make it easier and more affordable for organizations that service America, such as our nation’s military, fire, police, first responders, teachers and civil servants, to be able to own a piece of the American dream,” said Michael Wild, the company’s information officer.
To complement the Build America program, all of eLogHomes are made in America products from timber sourced from the eastern U.S. “Log homes are an excellent example of an energy efficient home that makes use of natural, renewable resources to support a healthy home environment,” continued Wild.
David Groves of Log and Timber Home Builders was the builder of the Jorgensen home. He recognized and pursued the need to build, repair and preserve valuable log structures “We work with our clients to develop strategies to utilize green technologies to reduce energy costs”. And, of course, eLogHomes works with us every step of the way.”said Groves, who has more than 30 years in the log home industry.
