Recycle Your Christmas Tree

In 2006 almost 29 million households had a real Christmas tree.  Even though trees do decay naturally, they still take up a lot of space in landfills because decay is slow due to lack of oxygen.  All those trees would be better ground into wood chips or made into compost. To make this easier the National Christmas Tree Association has partnered with Earth911.  Visit their site for more than 3800 spots where you can drop off your old tree.
