Coming Soon…Cell Phones To Be Charged By Water

water bpowered corder=0ell phone

Quite an imagination…but something that Samsung says they will have soon. In 2 years, Samsung will be offering a micro-fuel cell and hydrogen generator that is powered by just water. When you turn on the handset, metal and water enclosed inside the phone will react to produce hydrogen gas. The gas is then used to fuel the internal fuel cell where it reacts with oxygen (in the air) to generate power. Neato! Each micro-fuel cell will be able to generate up to 3 watts of electricity, which is enough for a small mobile device to power up to 10 hours.

  1. This will hopefully be a solution for most portable electronic devices! Like most of the other new inventions from Japan, they will tease us by not releasing it in the states.
