Disneynature’s EARTH Is a Hit

Last week I was able to see a special screening of Disneynature’s first film Earth, thanks to Got2begreen.com and Disneynature.

Disneynature is getting back to the nature movies Walt Disney loved. While I’m too young to remember the True Life Adventures when they came out, I did grow up watching them. Walt started this series after Bambi’s popularity.

Walt Disney would be proud of what Disney is doing with Disneynature. This was a wonderful film with animals as the actors and nature writing the script.

Earth was directed by Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield, the directors of BBC’s Plant Earth. Plant Earth and Earth were filmed at the same time, using the same team. Earth uses the scenes they felt needed a big screen and surround sound.  Earth is also more geared to kids but is a must see for adults and kids alike!

When I was able to see Earth the theater had a lot of young children with their families and at first I was worried they would get bored and be loud. Much to my surprise the kids were glued to the movie. The only talking was a very young child telling her mom all about the neat things she was seeing.

Viewers were asked how they liked the movie and everyone said it was great. Disney has really set the bar high for the Disneynature movies. Thankfully Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield will be working on more of the films, so they are sure to be wonderful as well.

Don’t miss Disneynature’s Earth on the big screen! This is one movie you don’t want to wait to come to DVD.
