“The EU Centre in Singapore is launching a Green Innovations, Our Future Together Symposium to showcase how companies, organisations, students and individuals use innovation, technology, policy, regulation, cross border agreements and other means such as art, design or culture, to bring about eco-friendly outcomes, in both the European Union and the region. The Symposium will gather EU and local; public and private stakeholders in the environment, with the end goal of enabling the various groups to understand their impact on the climate change, and provide a forum to discuss how they can work more cohesively to protect the environment. The event will be held on 15 May 2009 to coincide with Europe Day festivities. ”
They are also holding a Theme competition to which work may be submitted in the form of essay, multimedia/video clip, artwork/poster, poem or short work of literature, or work of technology/science. The deadline for submissions is 31st March 2009. The winners in each category will receive a prize of 1,000 Singapore dollars.
