Wearable Solar

The Solar Jacket is based around Interactive Wear AG’s iSolarX technology. Solar modules are placed around the collar that can pass energy through conducting textile leads for storage in a battery or a connected device directly.

The jacket can be switched from 5V to 6V to handle a broad group of devices. There is also integrated LEDs to view the state of the charge.

There is no price tag on the jacket as of yet, but expect the solar jacket to hit the market next year in 2008.
