Solar Island To Produce Energy

One of the United Arab Emirates, Ras al-Khaimah, is planning to install a floating solar island due to lack of space on land. The island would be .62 miles in diameter and cost about $5 million to be constructed by Neuchatel’s Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology.

The island will produce electricity and hydrogen by solar power. Keeping it rotated and focused on the sun all day for maximum efficiency will be an easy task via this method.
