Nintendo Wii Becomes A Green Friend

Columnist Dean Takahashi from the the San Jose Mercury News took a special measure to document electricity usage of various gadgets in his home. Surprisingly, he found that the Nintendo Wii consumed only 17 watts vs the Xbox 360 which uses 194 watts, which was about the same has his 42-inch plasma TV. The Sony PlayStation 3 used 171 watts. Amazing for Nintendo.

  1. Wow the wii is great! Less electricity usage = cheaper electric bills! Do you know how many watts a computer uses?

  2. You know what I would like to see? An automatic shuts off after a certain time period forcing children to get off these “play stations!” This absolutely will cause a savings in electricity…
