A more lazy approach to saving energy is buying a smart power strip that can detect energy use and automatically turn off when a device is no longer being used. Hey, I’m all for a lazy approach. I think this is a great idea!
The Smart Power Strip can sense the difference of when a device is on or off. When a device is detected as being ‘off’, it shuts off power to that outlet removing any ‘phantom loads’ while the power strip is still switched ‘on’. If you are interested in saving money and energy, this is an effective way of minimizing energy usage. The strip was featured recently on The Early Show and CBS News.
I have purchased some for my home they are very useful.
That’s great to hear. They are very useful!
