Pay Bills Online

Start paying your bills online and not only do you save money from postage but you also save the trees! If every person in the U.S. paid their bills online, it could reduce solid waste by 1.6 billion pounds and cut greenhouse gas emissions by 2.1 million tons each year (source - TIME magazine).

You’ll save paper and at the very least, save on postage…(reminder: stamps are now 41 cents)

  1. Yeah, but do you mean pay online with the companies themselves, or using a Bill Pay system by a bank? If it’s the latter, then there’s no point, because then the bank mails a check out anyway, and paper is still wasted.

    Otherwise, yeah, good idea!

  2. Yes, I mean setting up an online pay option with each of your paid services (insurance, bank account, utilities…) and asking to stop receiving statements via mail. We should be comfortable with viewing them online by now. Less paper, less stuff to file…..less clutter…sounds good to me in many ways!

    Thanks J.T.

  3. Digg this one for sure. Who really keeps the paper copies anyway. If anything print it when you need it or save an electronic copy and email that to your accountant. Get with the times and start getting on track to make a difference in the world we live in!!!
